I'm laying in bed wondering why the blanket I'm pulling up to my eyeballs smells so bad. If I'm going to fall asleep, I have to have a blanket by my face and one, if not two, feet poking out the end. Now here I am with a stinky blanket. This is just not going to do. "What does it smell like?", you ask? A boy. A big, stinky, dirty boy! This is one thing they don't tell you when you get married. Let alone all the information about living together, sharing a home, a bank account. What they leave out is that your bedroom is no longer going to smell like your favorite perfume, flowers, or even just smell ... clean! Because now, you share it with a boy. And boys stink. I know I'm going on a bit, but I need to warn every girl out there about this. I'm doing laundry today (not supposed to do laundry on Tuesday's, not in the schedule). I decide to ask Danny when was the last time he showered. He looks at me like I'm from another planet with his brows furrowed.
Danny: "Why?"
Patti: "Because the bed stinks."
Danny: "Does it stink like you?" (he smiles and laughs)
Patti: "No. It smells like a dirty boy who didn't shower after he mowed the lawn and then crawled into the bed that we share and that now stinks."
Danny: "I showered two days ago."
Patti: (Rolling my eyes) "Are you serious?" "You need to shower more than every two days!"
Danny walks away. He's tired. Doesn't want to argue I'm sure. But GROSS! I now have to clean sheets, pillow cases, and all the blankets that have touched our bed within the last week. I hate laundry!

Patrice - your baby is adorable. Congratulations! (By the way, this is Carol Cook) I couldn't agree with you more about boys - they stink. Believe it or not, even little boys stink. I have 3 and they all bath every night and morning - and some how still manage to STINK!!! I make Dusty bath every night and he stinks by morning too! They say girls "tranform" in the middle of the night and are scary when they wake up - well boys somehow rot in the night!!!
Congratulations again on the baby. Hopefully one day we can come up that way and see everyone. Is there a family reunion this year??? After all of grandpa's rude comments to me about my kids - not sure if I would go anyway!!! Where do you live? Hope to see you all soon!!!
Hey--this is Jeri Dawn. I just wanted you all to know that I have brothers that stink so I can totally relate, but fortunately I married the best smelling person on the face of the earth. Jason is the cleanest boy I have ever seen! Sorry you didn't get a clean boy! Congrats on the ever so cute baby!
Stinky blankets are the worst :( But look on the bright side - Danny mowed the lawn! My back still hurts from the last time I did ours and it already needs done again. I'm digging it up and putting down turf....
I was rolling. BJ may shower a little too much some times. He showers at least once a day, sometimes twice, and may even bath. I think that is why Boston loves the water too, they are part fish. Congrats on a beautiful baby girl. She is so dang cute. I'm glad you started a blog, since we suck at going to family stuff. Good luck with the laundry.
